Extra stuff!

done by photoshop cs5 & illustrator

Guess what! i didnt just stop at the final
submission of monogram. I also made a gif out of my monogram! check this out!

Stranger's request

So one day I uploaded my monogram as the profile picture of facebook and some guy from fb really liked my monogram and asked me if I could design a monogram for him with the initials (AWG). well regardless i know him or not, paid or not
I designed one just for the experience and to see how a stranger reacts to my design

His feedback was pretty much positive although the monogram wasnt related to his line of work. well since he was not really a client i guess that doesnt matter! xD

A bit too early (Sarcasm intended)

As I have been missing all the classes these few weeks due to chicken pox, I have missed out quite a lot including assignments and all the fun. I swear, getting chicken pox when you are at this age is a haunting experience. Oh well now that its been over, Ive been getting better since 5th of nov, I had to be very careful because those days are the days it gets more contagious. So basically I had no choice but to stay in the room   through out the whole experience. (housemates havent got it yet, thats why). I am so glad I will be able to go out and start uni from next Monday ahead!
Apart from the fact that I have not been feeling well, I did what I could do whenever I felt better. As I've missed the opportunity to present the first moodboard I will upload it on my blog now.
Second Moodboard is soon to be uploaded.

Final monogram

Out of all the choices I've shown on my previous post, there should be one chosen and therefore I chose this, not just for looks but also it kind of reflects me and also the field of work that I plan for my future. I am using this as my monogram in future. Well basically, my monogram doesnt have one color (as you can see xD) It will either have two complementary colors or (black and "whichever color"). I dont know how to explain this by words, (always misunderstood -,-) but what I'm trying to say is the P that appears out of Z and R has the first color and the slash that completes the Z has the second color, preferably a lighter color compared to the first color. Like that picture of my monogram with blue and orange on white.

(PS. Imagine this monogram on a gaming laptop! Dayumm!!)

Making a monogram!

Monogram gives a uniqueness well basically a signature for one's work. People rarely remember names but remember things visually. This is when monograms and symbols come in. I have always wanted to make a monogram and I'm so glad I've got this opportunity to make my own monogram with the help and guidance from my lecturer Ms.Lisa. So this is how it went like,

PS cs5 Noob in action!

Arranging pictures in blogs can sometimes get very annoying :l

Creating a movie poster

This is my first attempt (without cropped models inside). The theme of this movie poster is horror-comedy. Although we see no comedy in this. It looks abit dull and gloomy. Dull and gloomy comes together with horrow but I thought theres no comedy in this. So I decided to make a new one.

Movie is about 4 stereotypicals with mutual interests,
that is to survive an apocalypse!

The Expanded square

 my first effort
Different people interpret art in different ways, we all see things in our own ways. Each and everyone of us has our own style. That's what sets us designers and artists apart.
This time I will create my own expanded square. On my first effort it didn't turn out the way I want it to be. I felt as if it weren't complete or perhaps I couldn't made the way I wanted it to be.

So I made my second one. I used blue as the background because I believe blue defines me the most and I used orange for the expanded square because orange goes well with the color blue as they are complimentary colors. Here I use 3 design principles on my expanded square.
Unity&Variety, Size&Proportion and balance.

What makes us unique?

I believe each and every individual has something which makes them different from the rest. Their weirdness or seriousness, their character is what makes one special. Although today everyone is the same, very few stands out, everyone is dressed the same, behaves the same and has the same life.
Do we have time to sit and think about who we are? what is our individuality?
Well I dont! LOL honestly saying. I cant find time. Even if I find some time alone I'd rather think of something else than figuring out who I am inside and what makes me different. Maybe others see it in me but I honestly cant see it. Dont get me wrong folks, I dont hesitate to do something bizarre (IF NOT TOO EXTREME of course!), I like to break the rules and do things my own way and be different.

I like the cosmic stuff, stars, starry nights and nebulae. Sometimes I just imagine  myself flying through space nebulae and milky way. I dont know why I am saying this but you know, just saying! I have made a self portrait of myself. This is a vision I've seen in my "dream"  I think this is inspired by the Psybient Art movement.
You could say this is inspired by the Album cover of Shpongle mask
